Making a difference….improving lives: Community Development in Fulbourn Now that the redevelopment is underway, Accent Nene is committed to working with residents and the wider community to develop an effective community development plan for Fulbourn. With a new community hall being built, we believe this is just one of the opportunities for residents to make a difference locally.    A new community development strategy has been created which sets out a number of objectives to deliver a comprehensive vision for community development in Fulbourn: · Social cohesion on the new Windmill Estate development · Address the inevitable relationship between the project and its impact on the wider village · Seek to improve the quality of life for local residents through empowerment/education/learning tools initiatives. Good Neighbour Scheme The panel are working with Accent Nene on a Good Neighbour Scheme for Fulbourn.  The scheme will offer help and support to people in their community, such as transport, household tasks, and visiting.  A committee has been set up to start the scheme and anyone interested in either volunteering or making use of the scheme should contact Jill Jackson  on 0800 393890 or call into the Community House at 4 Dunmowe Way, Fulbourn, alternatively email jill.jackson@accentnene.org
